The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Honest review of the Hotel H10 Rubicon Palace, Lanzarote

Well, the video will say it all! We paid a lot of money for this holiday, booked through TUI UK. This is marketed as a 5 star resort, we had standard rooms, all inclusive. We started out positive, lots of little niggles, but it got worse from there. I think, as the resort became busier with guests, the poor staffing levels showed. Cleanliness, maintenance and service became extremely poor. Things not mentioned in my review: You cannot get bottled water here. You take or buy a reusable bottle. You have to refill this at the bars. Great idea environmentally, no plastic waste. However, it was a trek to the bar from our room. We stayed as a family of 4 in our room and my parents had a room next door. So, I had to trek to the bar every day with water bottles to fill. Nowhere to clean/wash these, filthy after 2 weeks. Pool towels are provided, but you have to pay if you want clean ones! I wasn’t paying any more, as we’d already paid a lot to stay here. Our towels were filthy after 2 weeks, it was awful. 4 of us in our room. Most days I had to call reception to bring more towels, as they’d only leave 2. This was extremely annoying after 2 weeks. Our last night I was woken twice by drunk men, shouting and swearing outside my room. Last night, pork in the buffet was being served raw. I think most other things are in my post. Please comment if you have any questions, I will try to answer honestly. If I have anyone trolling, I will not reply and will delete the comments. I fully appreciate that we have had a very bad experience, but this may differ from others. Likewise, we all have different opinions on issues.
