Hiking the Pai Canyon (Pai, Mae Hong Son, Thailand)

Pai Canyon is one of the biggest attractions in Pai. It's a natural rock formation just a few kilometers from downtown Pai. Most people visit the canyon late in the day to enjoy a cold beer and the views as the sun sets. Being a morning person, I decided to go earlier than that and see if I could catch the sunrise. I knew next to nothing about Pai Canyon before I went there, and everything about the place came as a very pleasant surprise. The biggest surprise was that simply hiking along the Canyon's trails presented some challenges.
