Leandro Halperín first experienced prison at the age of 18. The place captivated him; he became, in a way, a prisoner of his situation. Since then, he has worked to lessen the gap between incarcerated people and those who are free. Leandro decided to describe the problems visible today within the prison system from an educational perspective, as well as to try to devise possible actions that reduce the negative and pejorative impact that prisons have on society. "We must encourage people deprived of their freedom with work and education," he affirms, so that reintegration into society is possible once they regain their freedom.
