Every time graffiti makes an impact in a city, many things are said. It all revolves around the same issues: the debate between art and vandalism, prohibition, excessive punishment, criminalization, and aesthetic judgments about the work. But it must be acknowledged that, very rarely, the underlying issues are addressed: things like the social significance of graffiti for young people or the problematic boundaries between public and private should be trending topics every time, as happened a few months ago in Bogotá, for example, when a TransMilenio bus is painted. We spoke with one of the most prolific graffiti artists in the capital, known for painting in seemingly inaccessible spaces. We accompanied him to some of his works and also spoke with Armando Silva, a philosopher and semiotician recognized for bringing the world of graffiti into academia in his book *Urban Imaginaries*.
