19 Julio Mt 13, 24-43 “Señor, ¿qué no sembraste buena semilla en tu campo?”

Mt 13:24-43 At that time, Jesus proposed this parable to the crowd: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while the workers were sleeping, an enemy of the owner came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. When the plants grew and the grain was beginning to sprout, the weeds appeared also. The workers came to the owner and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where did these weeds come from?’ The owner replied, ‘Surely an enemy of mine did this.’ They said to him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ But he replied, ‘No. Or else, while you gather the weeds, you will uproot the wheat with them. Let them grow together until harvest time. At harvest time, I will tell the reapers, ‘First gather the weeds and tie them in a sheaves to burn, and then store the wheat in my barn.’” Then he put another parable before them: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man sows in a garden. It is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it becomes the largest of herbs and becomes a shrub, so that the birds come and make nests in its branches.” He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a little yeast that a woman took and mixed with three measures of flour, and the whole dough was leavened.” Jesus spoke all these things to the crowds in parables, and without a parable he said nothing to them, so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet: “I will open my mouth and speak to you in parables, and I will declare what has been hidden since the creation of the world.” Then he dismissed the crowds and went home. Then his disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds sown in the field.” Jesus answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man, the field is the world, the good seed are the citizens of the Kingdom, the weeds are the supporters of the evil one, the enemy who sows them is the devil, the time of harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. And just as they gather the weeds and burn them in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age: the Son of Man will send his angels to remove from his Kingdom all those who tempt others to sin and all who are wicked, and throw them into the fiery furnace. There there will be wailing and despair. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.”
