23 Julio Mt 13, 24-43 “Señor, ¿qué no sembraste buena semilla en tu campo?”

Gospel Mt 13:24-43 At that time, Jesus proposed this parable to the crowds: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while the workers were sleeping, an enemy of the owner came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. When the plants grew and the grain began to sprout, the weeds appeared as well. The workers came to the owner and said, 'Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where did these weeds come from?' The owner replied, 'An enemy of mine did it.' They said to him, 'Do you want us to go and pull them up?' But he answered them, 'No. Otherwise, while you gather the weeds, you will uproot the wheat with them. Let them grow together until harvest time. At harvest time, I will tell the reapers, "First gather the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned, and then gather the wheat into my barn." Then he told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man sowed in a garden. Although it is the smallest of all seeds, when it grows, it becomes the largest of all the herbs and becomes a bush, so that the birds come and make nests in its branches." He told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a woman who took yeast and mixed it into three measures of flour, and the whole dough was leavened." Jesus spoke all these things to the crowds in parables, and without parables he said nothing, so that what was spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled: "I will open my mouth and speak to you in parables, and I will declare what has been hidden since the creation of the world." Then he dismissed the crowds and went home. Then his disciples came to him and said, "Explain to us the parable of the weeds sown in the field." Jesus answered them, "The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man; the field is the world; the good seed are the citizens of the Kingdom; the weeds are the supporters of the evil one; the enemy who sows them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. And just as they gather the weeds and burn them in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age: the Son of Man will send his angels to remove from his Kingdom all those who tempt others to sin and all who are wicked, and throw them into the blazing furnace. There there will be wailing and despair. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear."
