Seminar 1.1: What does the book of Job teach us about suffering? | Eric Ortlund

Title: Job 1: Loving God for his own sake Why does God allow the most godly people to suffer so much? And why does God allow suffering which doesn't seem to produce anything good? The first chapter of the book of Job reveals why God allows suffering which is extreme and inexplicable, and what he expects from us when he does. We'll see how God allows Job-like ordeals only for the very best of reasons, and how his expectations for us in them are surprisingly minimal. --- Keswick Ministries exists to refresh the church with joy in Christ Jesus. Through our annual summer Convention, our year-round events and free resources, we gather people around God’s word so we can become more like Jesus and enjoy living for him - wherever we are, and whatever we’re doing. Visit https://www.keswickministries.org for more info. For info about books mentioned during the talks, go to https://uk.10ofthose.com/partners/kes...
