Passage: Genesis 3 Series title: Defeating Satan's lies Discontentment is deeply rooted in our hearts, and we nurse regret at what God hasn’t given us. Or resent the stuff he’s allowed. Our sufferings and trials are hard. And he doesn’t feel altogether good. So we grasp at other things to try snatch some goodness from elsewhere. But although we can enjoy all God’s good gifts in his presence and give him thanks (cf Friday), they are not a substitute for our God, who invites us to taste and see that he is good (Ps 34.8). --- Keswick Ministries exists to refresh the church with joy in Christ Jesus.
