Video 3 of 3. Sea kayak paddle from Dwarwick pier (ND 209 711) along the SW coast of Dunnet Head, reaching Donald Gear’s Geo (ND 1798 7357) then crossing Dunnet Bay to Murkle Bay Beach (ND 169 695), to Castletown harbour (ND 198 686) then back to Dwarwick pier. Leaving South-west Dunnet Head Donald gear’s geo over to Murkle beach for lunch. Leaving the Upper Devonian sandstone at Dunnet Head to the older Middle Devonian Caithness Flagstone at Murkle. The flagstone was deposited in, Lake Orcadia covering the Moray Firth basin, upto Shetland, was deeper, with upto 5000 m of sediment infill. A Diver(Loon) can be heard calling as we neared Castletown harbour. Also we saw puffins, a gannet, sandwich tern and a pair of Shelducks with ducklings on the paddle.
