The half-clutch is one of the most common driving techniques, and it's an important skill that will have an impact until the very end. Make sure you master it perfectly and impress your instructor!! Such small tricks aren't taught at driving schools. Many driving school instructors teach routine tasks, and few provide instruction tailored to each individual. That's why I film these videos in the hope of providing even a little helpful explanation. I'll be happy if my videos are even slightly useful in your driving lessons. ■Don't give up on your lessons halfway through! Just because your lessons aren't going well, don't give up and think, "I just don't have the talent" or "I'm too old." If you understand the trick and the reason why something isn't working, you can overcome any obstacles. There are few instructors who are willing to explain this, or rather, they just don't have the time. If you were to spend an hour teaching several students and spend all your time on that, you wouldn't have time to ride. There are often instructors who yell things like, "Take it easy!", "Swerve harder!", or "Go faster!", but take them with a grain of salt. There's no need for that, and you can't take "tightness" unless you understand what "tightness" is, and it won't be easy until you've graduated. If you're told this before you understand, it's the same as mental theory and is completely useless. It's even more pointless, as it only surprises you, confuses you, and demotivates you when someone yells at you from behind, making it a meaningless scolding. You'll pass your final exam even if you don't take it easy or turn properly! Driving lessons and the final exam (driving under legal regulations) are completely different things. Being strict for safety's sake is different from being bossy or arrogant and swearing. Some instructors misunderstand this. I understand that taking it seriously can make you feel uncomfortable, hurt more than necessary, or upset, but please don't give up on driving lessons because of it.
