This Might Be Georgia's Most Overlooked Trout Stream (Tallulah River)

Double header day! Started the morning grinding it out on the Chattahoochee, then met up with my dad for an evening trip on the Tallulah River in Tate City, GA — his home water that he fishes almost weekly, but my first time back in forever. It is the week after the Fourth of July so the fishing is tough. I brought my dog Timber along too. We found the trout stacked up and had a great evening on one of North Georgia's most underrated trout streams. If you've been wondering whether Tallulah River trout fishing lives up to the hype (or the drive out to Tate City), this one should answer it. 🎣 GEAR USED: Redington Hydrogen 3wt fly rod Hardy reel Squirmy Wormy (size 16) Egg fly (size 16) 📍 LOCATION: Tallulah River, Tate City, Georgia If you're into North Georgia trout fishing, small stream fly fishing, or just want to see a good fishing trip with a good dog along for the ride — hit subscribe, more Georgia trout content coming soon. 👇 Let me know in the comments — have you fished the Tallulah?
