The boys' volleyball team of Takagawa Gakuen in Hofu City has qualified for the Spring High Volleyball Tournament for the 13th time in 10 consecutive years. Captain Junya Iwamoto (189cm, highest reach 335cm) is the team's central figure, leading the team with a strong block. This year, he was selected for the All Japan High School Selection and is the backbone of the team aiming to be the best in Japan. Takagawa Gakuen's current goal is to get revenge on Sundai Gakuen in Tokyo. They suffered consecutive losses at the Inter-High School Championships and the National Sports Festival, and were especially sadly defeated in the National Sports Festival finals.
