In the prefectural qualifying final, 183cm tall ace player Takeda scored 18 spikes, contributing to their impressive 11th consecutive victory. In addition to utilizing their height to their advantage in attack, another asset is their "solid defense." They did not drop a single set in the qualifying round, winning every match in straight sets. Each player focused on the "first receive" and their style of transitioning from defense to offense was outstanding. Also supporting the team is second-year student Murakami. Although he was a member of the prefectural team in junior high, he decided to become an analyst. He analyzes the opponent's offensive tendencies during games and reports them to the coach in real time. The captain also trusts him, saying, "He's completely different." Last year, despite high expectations, the team lost in the first round. This year, with two regular players remaining, he is determined to "go and retrieve what the seniors left behind."
