Klimaschutz: Sind wir noch zu retten? I AUF DER COUCH
Carla Reemtsma and Jan Fleischhauer are almost hostile to each other when it comes to climate protection. Psychologist Dr. Leon Windscheid is conducting an experiment: He invites the two to the first-ever "couples therapy" session of differing opinions. You can find this episode and more information about "On the Couch" in the ZDFmediathek: https://kurz.zdf.de/06RB/ Note regarding the video here on YouTube: We made a small error in the introductory text for Leon Windscheid: Leon is not a PhD psychologist. He studied psychology and completed his Master's degree in 2014. He then earned his PhD in economics in 2017. Climate protection – scaremongering or the end of the world? An important topic in our society and in the current election campaign for the 2021 federal elections. But opinions clash – often irreconcilably. This gives psychologist Dr. Leon Windscheid pause for thought: We are growing apart, yet we must be able to get along. He invites you to join him on the couch: an unusual setup that at first glance resembles a psychologist's couch. Here, under psychological guidance, they will argue and debate. And with two guests whose opinions are worlds apart: Climate activist Carla Reemtsma from Fridays For Future and columnist Jan Fleischhauer are taking part in the experiment. Who can afford climate protection? What is the state of current climate policy? The two are to approach each other using different therapeutic methods and interventions and discuss the central issue of our time: the climate crisis. As spokesperson for FFF, Carla has a very firm position on climate change and its consequences. Jan acknowledges the importance of climate protection but regularly criticizes the young movement in his tweets. It's time to discuss and debate this. Can Leon bring a bit more calm to this discussion? And will the two ultimately find common ground? Climate activist Carla from Fridays For Future and columnist Jan Fleischhauer are taking part in this experiment. 🔸🛋 Sitting on the couch: Carla Reemtsma and Jan Fleischhauer 🗣 Carla Reemtsma: The 23-year-old student is a spokesperson for Fridays For Future, advocating for better climate protection policies. Along with her cousin Luisa Neubauer, she is the movement's most recognizable figure. To save the climate, Reemtsma calls for radical systemic change. She organizes demonstrations, gives speeches, and has appeared on numerous talk shows. 🗣 Jan Fleischhauer: Jan Fleischhauer is a father of four and a successful columnist. He worked for SPIEGEL for many years and now writes for FOCUS. Fleischhauer comes from a left-liberal background. Later, he became a self-proclaimed conservative. In his writing, the 59-year-old expresses opinions that he believes are underrepresented in the German media. 🎬 Did you enjoy this video? Give us a like!
