Trans Dinarica Travelers: Vesna bikepacking from Germany to Japan in snow, bura wind, cold rain...

Vesna Coutureau cycled from Munich to Tokio over 18 countries in 281 days with only four flat tires and zero accidents/sickness. Her story goes beyond the Trans Dinarica, as the Trans Dinarica was only a small part of a long journey. This is how she announced herself: “Sometimes a great adventure begins with a single push of the pedals. For nine months, I cycled alone from Munich to Tokyo. Through 18 countries, across borders and into the midst of foreign lives. In my slide show, I use pictures and stories to recount encounters, courage, loneliness, happiness and the freedom to simply keep going.” Listening to her story tempts you to jump on the bike and follow her tracks, although we should add that cycling in the snow and in the strong Croatian 'bura' wind is not for everyone. We have to praise something else - her tactics for dealing with stray and sheepdogs. We're not saying it works for everyone, but it's certainly the most harmless, both for the dogs and for the relationships between travelers and locals.
