Some of my Turkish friends have told me that Ankara is a boring city, but I wanted to visit and decide for myself. My friend Brian and I took the high speed train from Istanbul in business class, then explored some of Ankara's main areas and attractions including Gaziosmanpaşa, Anıtkabir (the Atatürk memorial), the Nation's Library of the Presidency (Cumhurbaşkanlığı Millet Kütüphanesi), ASPAVA, and the Ankara Old Town (Ankara Kalesi).
