The Activism and the Apathy of the Rich and Famous: Do they have an obligation to 'speak out'?

In a time of social unrest and crimes against humanity, you'd expect celebrities - those with large followings, influence, wealth, resources, and fame to speak out against it, especially when their own government is backing the regime, but instead many key players have decided to stay silent or apathetic. Selena Gomez even recently said 'a post won't change the world.' While other celebrities like Melissa Barrera and Bella Hadid have supported Palestine and the people of Gaza, unafraid of what it will do to do their careers.
