Crossing the Alps in our 2WD van was always one of those journeys we dreamed about… but nothing quite prepares you for what it actually feels like when you’re there. Snow-covered mountain passes under deep blue skies. Endless switchbacks twisting through the Italian Alps. Quiet villages tucked into the valleys. Eagles overhead. Forest roads lit by shafts of evening sunlight. And somewhere far below us… the first glimpse of the Mediterranean coastline waiting in the distance.
