2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee CRD (OM642) EGR removal
2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK) with OM642 mercedes benz diesel engine. I removed the EGR to inspect for a pending p0402 code (EGR excessive flow). Upon inspection the EGR in question seems to be functioning fine. The code has since cleared. I'm hoping some small debris keeping it open was knocked loose during removal. Do yourself a favor and drive for a few days with the two bolts loose! Otherwise you'll risk destroying the valve trying to pry it out.
