It’s a tributary of the Shoufeng River and also one of my favorite spots to swim. Why? Not only is it not too far away, but the breathtaking turquoise water is something rarely seen in Taiwan. To reach the tributary, you need to first cross the main Shoufeng River, which has stronger currents. That’s why it’s important to choose the right weather conditions and check the water level before going. In the afternoon, sudden rain showers can easily cause the water to rise dramatically. Once across, you can either trace upstream along the river or take the mountain trail on the side — but be careful, some sections have already collapsed. Remember: Leave No Trace, protect the beauty of nature.
