If this bike looks familiar, it's because Derek, who runs Duane's Powertrains, brought it to The Congregation Show last month. We love the bike, so we parked it next to our 1976 Chevrolet G20 Camper Van for the event. Before that, the 1977 Yamaha YZ 125 sat in his garage for years while Derek focused on rebuilding H-D engines. This week, he decided the bike should belong to someone who will actually have the time to enjoy and ride it, so he spent his Monday afternoon getting the 2-stroke dialed in and ripped it around one last time.
