28mm f/5.6 TTArtisan for Leica M Review

In this episode, Jules and I review the TTArtisan 28mm f/5.6 lens for the Leica M mount. Visually, this lens invokes early vintage wide-angle lenses similar to my original Leitz Hektor for the Leica Thread Mount or the currently available Leica Summaron-M 28mm f/5.6. While the brand new Leica Summaron would set you back around 2.850 Euro, this TTArtisan comes in at only 300 Euro. And while this lens looks equally vintage as the Summaron, the optical design is actually much more modern and advanced. I took the lens through its paces on my M6 shooting some landscape on the seaside, architecture and some street shots on Ilford HP5, Ilford Delta 400 and Ilford Ilfocolor 400.  Let’s take a closer look at the build quality, optical design and photographs this lens produces.
