Samsun’da “Altındaneler” yaygınlaşıyor

Thanks to the efforts of the Samsun Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry within the scope of the "Altındane Meets the Soil Project," high-yield wheat cultivation is becoming widespread. The "Altındane Meets the Soil Project," aimed at popularizing local and national wheat varieties in Samsun, continues at full speed. With budget support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and in collaboration with the Samsun Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, the Black Sea Agricultural Research Institute, and the 19 Mayıs District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, a field day was recently organized as part of the project. At the event, participants received information about the results obtained within the scope of the project and conducted inspections in the cultivated areas. The Altındane variety, which stands out with its high yield and resistance to stress conditions, was introduced to the producers. Speaking at the event, Deputy Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Selma Cineviz stated that 'Innovation Dissemination Projects' play an important role in bringing agricultural innovations to producers. Cineviz stated, “The new varieties and production techniques that form the basis of these projects are developed as a result of years of work in the research institutes within the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM), the research organization of our Ministry.” The "Golden Grains Meet the Soil" Project was developed within the framework of Innovation Extension Projects, which have been carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's Education and Publication Department since 2012.
