I Discovered The Lost Funeral Of Mary Queen Of Scots

One of the most shocking moments of Tudor History saw Mary Queen of Scots be executed upon the orders of Queen Elizabeth I. It was the English Queen executing the Scottish Queen, her cousin. But in the moments after, Mary's body was embalmed within the grounds of Fotheringhay Castle and she was left for a number of months inside of a lead coffin. It took months for Elizabeth I to settle on a decision to burial Mary because of the great guilt she had for the execution. Eventually a funeral procession happened and she was buried to begin with inside of Peterborough Cathedral. But this wouldn't be her grave forever.
