Weaving a houndstooth shawl on the rigid heddle loom
In this video I show my start to finish process of weaving a hounds tooth shawl on my Ashford knitters loom (rigid heddle loom) with a 12.5 dent/inch heddle. The yarn used is Sandnes Mini Alpakka, Sandnes Alpacka Silk, Hven Alpacka and a sock yarn of unknown origin. The shawl was inspired by the project "Wrap me in houndstooth" form the may/june 2021 issue of Handwoven Magazine. Although I didn't follow the draft, I loved this project designed by Carla Jeanne Hubbart. This was a great project that turned out really soft, I foresee more houndstooth in my future!
