Originally not very athletic, this young boy enrolled at the Kyokushinkaikan Hasegawa Dojo, a place he had always admired. Influenced by his master, he began keeping a "karate notebook" from the time he was a white belt, jotting down his experiences, knowledge, theories he learned, and words that changed his life. Wanting to become stronger and overcome his athletic weakness, he visited the bookstore every day to incorporate the sports theories of the time and the physical movements of other martial arts. He read and took notes, actively incorporating them into his karate, and rapidly improved, even to the point of placing in the All-Japan Championships. However, feeling that his training had reached its limits, he was unable to win, even though he was able to place. In 2006, he became an apprentice under Master Hasegawa Kazuyuki, the second Kyokushin All-Japan Champion and renowned instructor.
