A devastating flash flood struck Empat Lawang Regency, South Sumatra, after heavy rains caused the Lintang Kanan River to overflow. The powerful currents inundated residential areas and areas along the riverbanks, causing damage in several areas. The Air Lintang Indah tourist area suffered damage due to the flooding. Several tourist facilities were damaged and some were swept away by the sudden influx of water, temporarily shutting down the tourist area. Furthermore, a suspension bridge in the Peraduan area reportedly collapsed after being struck by the strong currents of the Lintang Kanan River. This incident disrupted public access and the activities of local residents who depend on this connecting route.
