In this episode, I finally remove the 1ZZ-FE engine of my Toyota Mr2 (spyder or Mr-s) ZZW30 and I will show you in an easy 11 step process how to do it yourself (with a few Jokes included). Enjoy! This Tutorial can of course be used for other cars, to give you an Idea and not only be used for 1ZZ removal, but also to remove a 2ZZ in an Mr2 ZZW30, if thats your case. I did this video with a hoist (Lift), but this can be done without too many problems on the floor in your home garage. 10 Step Process: 1:23 1) Strutt Braces and parts removal 1:41 2) Removal of accessories at the top: Intake hoses, vaccum hoses, airbox, battery and its tray... 1:54 3) Exhaust removal 2:13 4) Drain Engine and Transmission Oil 3:36 5) Remove Bumper and Tail lights (important when you do this jjob in a home garage without a Lift 4:12 6) Remove Drive shafts and suspension arms from subframe 5:19 7) Remove rear transmission mount completely with all its brackets 6:54 8) Ecu and Engine loom removal. Pass the loom through the firewall 8:50 9) Drain Cooling fluid on the lowest hose in the Engine bay 9:44 10) Fuelling Trick. Specific to the 2ZZ Swap 10: 54 11) Final Step: Removal of the Engine & Transmission in one go, with the complete subframe. Thanks for watching!
