Santuário de Nossa Senhora de Brotas Situa-se em Brotas, município de Mora, distrito de Évora, Portugal. Edifício de cunho popular, com arquitectura religiosa, manuelina e barroca. Segundo a tradição este culto teve origem na vila das Águias, mais propriamente no lugar de Brotas da Barroca, que se encontrava naquela altura completamente inabitável por ser extremamente húmido e constituído por uma grande cova cercada de ribanceiras, que a toponímia local designou de Inferno, Inferninho e Purgatório. Assinale-se a importância dos vários conjuntos de azulejos, de diversos períodos (séc. XVI–XVIII), que cobrem de forma extensiva praticamente todas as superfícies parietais do interior do templo. A igreja foi classificada como Imóvel de Interesse Público em 1956. Sanctuary of Our Lady of Brotas It is located in Brotas, municipality of Mora, district of Évora, Portugal. A building of popular character, with religious, Manueline and Baroque architecture. According to tradition, this cult originated in the village of Águias, more specifically in the place of Brotas da Barroca, which at that time was completely uninhabitable due to being extremely humid and consisting of a large pit surrounded by ravines, which the local toponymy designated as Inferno, Inferninho and Purgatório. The importance of the various sets of tiles, from different periods (16th–18th centuries), which extensively cover practically all the wall surfaces of the interior of the temple, should be noted. The church was listed as a Property of Public Interest in 1956.
