This time, we invited Dr. Motokuni Kida, Director of THE BEAUTE CLINIC, to CLASS CLINIC. Together with Director Shigeru Matsumoto, they discussed the behind-the-scenes aspects of opening a cosmetic clinic, including recruitment, team building, and the dietary habits and health management of doctors involved in cosmetic medicine. Dr. Kida hired a consultant when opening his clinic, while Dr. Matsumoto built CLASS CLINIC without one. From the differences in their respective opening styles, they shared the realities of being a practicing physician, including finding a location, fundraising, interior design, medical equipment selection, and recruitment—things rarely heard elsewhere. Furthermore, they delved into Dr. Kida's recruitment story—hiring only 5 people out of nearly 400 applicants—the joy of working with people he likes, and the daily support he receives from his team. In the second half, they discussed how doctors involved in cosmetic medicine approach diet and health, their past love of ramen and potato chips, their approach to processed meats and dairy products, and the impact of lifestyle habits on skin and physical condition.
