Forth Bridges 3D model animations
Digital documentation of the Forth Bridge and Forth Road Bridge was undertaken by the Centre for Digital Documentation and Visualisation LLP (a partnership between Historic Environment Scotland and The Glasgow School of Art) during 2015-2016. This involved innovative 3D laser scanning of each structure to create a highly accurate 3D point cloud. From the 3D point cloud, a photo-realistic 3D model was created. This film shows a pre-rendered animation of the 3D model for each bridge. The project was funded by Transport Scotland.
