POV Drive MetroWest Orlando FL | Valencia College Loop

This POV drive takes you through the MetroWest area of Orlando, following a loop that highlights major roads, residential zones, and local landmarks. The route begins on MetroWest Boulevard, continues to Hiawassee Road, then Raleigh Street and Kirkman Road. From there, the drive loops around the Valencia College West Campus, then heads south on Kirkman Road to Arnold Palmer Drive, which becomes Robert Trent Jones Drive, before turning onto Metrocenter Boulevard and ending back near the Valencia College campus. MetroWest is a planned community located about 10–15 minutes west of downtown Orlando. This drive shows a mix of apartments, single-family neighborhoods, office space, and retail centers that serve residents and students in the area. Along the route, you’ll pass near MetroWest Golf Club, an 18-hole course that has been part of the community since the 1980s and was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr.. The drive also circles Valencia College West Campus, one of the largest campuses in the Valencia College system, serving thousands of students in Central Florida. Nearby, you’ll find commercial areas along Kirkman Road and Hiawassee Road, with access to shopping, dining, and services. The area also connects quickly to major roads like Florida State Road 408 (East-West Expressway) and Interstate 4. About MetroWest: MetroWest was developed starting in the 1980s as one of Orlando’s first large-scale planned communities. The area was designed to combine housing, business parks, and recreation within a defined district. Its location near major highways helped it grow quickly as Orlando expanded west. Over time, MetroWest became known for its mix of housing options and its proximity to job centers, theme parks, and downtown Orlando. Today, it remains a high-density residential area with ongoing development and redevelopment projects. This POV drive gives a full loop through MetroWest, showing key roads, traffic patterns, and what you can expect when driving in this part of Orlando. There are a few specific goals of Travel Towner: 1. To take fun POV (“Point-of-View”) videos of scenic drives, highways, and roadways so you can virtually travel anywhere you like; or look back at a time when you were younger. 2.
