Multicrew Fantasy vs Solo Reality in Star Citizen
Ask almost any Star Citizen player what their perfect game session looks like, and they'll probably describe a fully crewed Polaris, a coordinated cargo operation, or an organization tackling something impossible alone. So why do so many of us spend the majority of our time flying solo? In this video, I explore one of the biggest contradictions in Star Citizen: our dream of massive multicrew gameplay versus the reality of how we actually play. From the hidden cost of organizing players, to the freedom of logging in whenever you want, to the unexpected drama that can come from depending on other people, we'll look at why solo play isn't a compromise—it has become the preferred way many of us experience the 'verse. This isn't a criticism of multicrew gameplay. In fact, I think some of Star Citizen's greatest moments happen when players come together. But perhaps the dream of playing together... and the reality of actually doing it... are two very different things.
