Falla Sensor de temperatura Daihatsu Charade g200 1.3 1999

Hello friends of the channel, this time I want to show you a problem that was plaguing me for a couple of weeks, and how I was able to solve it, thanks to the Daihatsu workshop manual, which I've linked to download below. It involves identifying a faulty temperature sensor using the self-diagnostic system found in cars with OBD1 and OBD2 systems. In this case, this car has the Toyota OBD2 system. The manual shows how to connect the pins of the OBD1 diagnostic port with a simple wire to obtain fault codes and pinpoint the problem. In this case, it returned three codes: 16, 42, and 43. These codes are related to a faulty sensor: the temperature sensor. This is because the ECU (Electronic Control Unit) receives a signal from this sensor, and it's linked to the ignition and air temperature signals. In any case, the idea was to troubleshoot, however, sooner than expected, I found the problem: the wires were cut flush at the connector…so I just had to improvise with some female spade connectors to connect the sensor to the wiring harness.
