It happened by the Sea of Tiberias. The disciples went fishing, but caught nothing. At dawn, the Risen Lord appeared on the shore and instructed them to cast their net over the right of their boat. And they caught a lot of fish. The Risen Lord then invited them for breakfast, which he had prepared. After this Easter breakfast the Risen Lord gave Peter a mission: “Feed my lambs … tend my sheep … feed my sheep.” By sending him, the Risen Lord restored their friendship and reversed Peter’s denial of him. Today, Peter continues to tend and feed the Lord’s flock through his successor, the Pope.
