Ambrose Minty & the Great Cigar Factory Collapse - Battle Creek, Michigan
Ambrose Minty was originally from England, and he moved to Battle Creek as a young boy to live with his Uncle and Aunt. He established a cigar factory later in life, and in 1899 that factory, built on a bridge, collapsed into the mill race in downtown Battle Creek. What happened next is a lesson in humanity.
