Tracking the Territorial Road: The Original Pioneer Trail - Battle Creek, Michigan
Join me on a new adventure: Tracking the Territorial Road, the original pioneer trail, through Battle Creek, Michigan. The Territorial Road was one of three original trails that crossed lower Michigan, and this one connected Detroit to St. Joseph, and then continued on to Chicago. It followed native American footpaths inititially, and then was improved to accommodate horses, oxen and wagons. The Territorial Road followed most of present day Michigan Ave through Marshall, and then began to change as it arrived in Battle Creek. This video will show you the route it followed, based on research by Berenice Bryant Lowe in 'Tales of Battle Creek'. #BattleCreekHistory #CalhounCountyHistory #TerritorialRoad #MichiganHistory For more information on Michael Delaware, visit: https://www.michaeldelaware.com Support: Direct Donations: https://liberapay.com/MichaelDelaware...
