AQUATIC AUSTRALIA - STORIES FROM THE DEEP This film is part of the Aquatic Australia visual dive logbook, a growing archive of real dives recorded across Australian Waters. Date : 13th Dec 2025 (Or as in Title 251213 in YYMMDD format for order) Dive : IJ#2109 Location : NW of Geordie Bay, North Rottnest Island, Western Australia Site : Darryl's Dilemma Min Water Temp : 21C Max Water Temp : 22C Visibility : 15-20m Observations : Kelpy Ridge orientated NW / SE. Stayed North Side until end of reef and went onto next lump then back up. Only after we passed over the top of the ridge on our way back up the West side did we then find what we were looking for - caves / canyons. NW side seems best. Dive : IJ#2210 Location : Near Geordie Bay, North Rottnest Island, Western Australia Site : Wobby Lobby Min Water Temp : 22C Max Water Temp : 22C Visibility : 15m Observations : Nice site two main lumps North and South running broadly E/W like an = sign. Southern side went to two caves. In the central South Cave we found 3 Port Jackson Sharks and got some lovely footage of them up close and swimming lazily. We also saw a Blue Groper, lots of Crays and one of our number came out of a hole and saw a 2.5m Tiger shark who scooted off quickly (Tigers don't like divers bubbles much here in Southern WA - its theorised they are firmly on the food chain for Great Whites here so are skittish). Beautiful clear water and quite warm today about 22 degrees C. ABOUT THIS FILM A calm, real-time record of a dive day exploring the two reefs on the North side of Rottnest Island.
