Ultegra 12-Speed Di2 Conversion | Full Install

In the stand today is a beautiful Trek Émonda, but the owner is ready to ditch the cables. I am performing a full Shimano Ultegra R8100 Di2 conversion—moving from 11-speed mechanical to the latest 12-speed wireless Di2. While this bike is a 2020/2021 model, it presents a few unique challenges, including that iconic (and slightly controversial) seat post and a T47 bottom bracket that must come out to make the routing work. In this video: The Teardown: Stripping the mechanical Ultegra and assessing the 5-year-old frame. The Battery Hack: How to mount a Di2 battery inside a frame that doesn't have a traditional seatpost. The Setup: Pairing the wireless shifters, setting the B-Screw with the Shimano gauge, and micro-adjusting the indexing via the E-Tube app. Sponsor: Big thanks to Sport and Leisure for supporting the channel.
