Alone in Deep Snow Building a Survival Shelter in the Winter Forest with Berta

This winter, I returned to the forest with my loyal German Shepherd, Berta. We came not only to spend time in nature, but to work, to build, and to learn. In the silence of the snowy woods, we created a shelter from natural materials, made a fire, and practiced new bushcraft and survival skills. Winter tests both body and spirit, but it also teaches patience, resilience, and respect for the wild. For us, this is more than survival — it’s a way to grow stronger together.
