Surviving a -35 Night Without a Sleeping Bag

It’s the middle of January in Ontario, Canada, and the coldest night of the year is moving in. I head out into the winter woods pulling a sled to spend the night camping without a tent or sleeping bag in deep snow and subzero temperatures. I build a simple survival shelter, gather firewood, and keep a fire going through the night to stay warm.
