Garden City Sanitation | Peterbilt 520 Labrie Automizer Right-Hand Garbage Truck (#121)

After 10 years on the platform, I'm actually surprised I have not filmed a full video of this driver until now. He's been quite the YouTube celebrity for a number of years, helping to dot San Jose on the map as one of its fastest drivers. In years past, he used to drive truck #508 (which has been documented extensively by WasteManTony and SJbytheBay1) before he moved to RT121 driving truck #621/#121. Throughout the years he's held onto the record as one of the fastest drivers for Garden City Sanitation, often completing his entire route not even four hours into his shift. Nowadays with Waste Connections wanting approximately 1000 lift cycles/8 hours minimum for each driver everyday, he tends to take his time on overtime routes, like the one I managed to find him on. Even then he's usually complete by 1-2pm on overtime, and he still practices the technique of lid-slapping. It's always very entertaining to see a driver having fun with their truck, especially in an age where most of the new city-contracted garbage trucks have RPM cutoffs and deliberately slowed down arms. Seeing lid flipping now in San Jose is a rarity due to baseless resident complaints, so it's always a treat to see that too. Special thanks to Albert for allowing me to film!
