[ENGLISH] Claudio Thebas is a writer, clown, and member of Jogando no Quintal, a pioneering São Paulo-based theater group in the language of improvisation in Brazil. He is also the co-creator of the clown group Forças Armadas, which works in regions experiencing crises of some kind, such as natural disasters, social inequality, etc. His constant direct interaction with people has led him to focus his interest on listening, or rather, the lack thereof, and how this affects our society. TEDxJardimBotânico is an independently organized event held under license from TED, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting ideas worth spreading. TED began as a four-day conference in California 25 years ago and has grown to support world-changing ideas through multiple initiatives. This event is organized by people who believe in the transformative power of ideas.
