Kent introduces his series on inspecting a M119 engine. There were the big 4.0, 4.2 and 5.0 V8's built by Mercedes during the 1990's. Many consider this one of the best engines built by Mercedes Benz. That does not mean you can ignore it. If you get a Benz with one of these engines you must inspect it carefully if you want a reliable daily driver.
