Killian's Band

An interesting dynamic has been happening in the Pryor Mountains. In late 2017, an aged stallion, Morning Star died. Two of his mares, Hailstorm/Shadow and Hataalii, along with Hataalii's young daughter, Morning Reverie, have been pursued by a group of bachelor stallions. Earlier this summer, the palomino stallion, Killian/Echo, was able to take the three females from Miocene. However, Miocene, never gave up the pursuit to get the mares back. And then Orlando, the strong black stallion joined in the pursuit. On Saturday, December 14, 2019, the band was spotted on the west end of Turkey Flats. This video shows that not much has changed since summer. The short video shows the continuing story of this group of Pryor horses.
