Hello friends, I hope you are doing well.⋆✵ I was going to title this video "coffee and you", but I was feeling bloated that day so I decided to have tea instead;; This isn't a "RISD accepted portfolio" video because I wanted to share my college application portfolio from highschool. I didn't apply to RISD at that time - I transferred 2 years later - but I thought it'd be more fun to look back at my 17-year-old self compared to 23, now. If you managed to watch until the end...! I just want to say thank you ;-; because I felt like I poured out a little bit of my soul into this video. During filming I forgot I was just talking to myself, alone in my bedroom, it felt like I was actually having a conversation with you. I truly believe that art and making is my life's calling - although there were rough times when I wanted to quit and give up, because I didn't believe I was strong enough, or good enough, or just "enough", my RISD family taught me how to forgive myself and be okay. I am so unbelievably lucky and blessed. So - this is for anybody out there looking for just a little bit of light and motivation. Just a little bit more, it will be all worth it!
