But this image is often one-sided, as only 10–30% of those affected experience such outbursts – many have other symptoms. Simon's Tourette's began when he was 17. Suddenly, he started swearing uncontrollably, twitching, and banging his head against the wall. Over the years, his neurological condition has changed. The swearing has remained, but today he's training to be an automotive technician, is a member of the traffic cadets, and drives a truck.
