HS2 Delta Junction: SPMT Now Loaded for M42 Viaduct Crossing

The SPMT at HS2 Delta Junction is now loaded with a section of the Water Orton Viaduct and appears to be staged ready for the next major operation over the M42 motorway. In this HS2 Delta Junction update, we return to Water Orton to see major progress around the M42, the Water Orton Viaducts, Attleboro Flyover and the Bromford Tunnel approach. I have filmed this SPMT over the past couple of weeks, but this is the first time I have seen it loaded with a viaduct section, making this a very interesting moment in the construction of HS2’s Delta Junction. This video also includes close-up drone footage around the Water Orton Viaducts, low-level shots flying beneath the new structures, views of the Attleboro Flyover, and progress at the Bromford Tunnel works and tunnel entrance. Together, these works show how the Delta Junction is taking shape as one of the most complex sections of the HS2 route near Birmingham. The HS2 Delta Junction will allow high-speed trains to connect between London, Birmingham and the North, with major structures including the Water Orton Viaducts, the M42 Motorway Box, Attleboro Flyover and the Bromford Tunnel.
