Episode 19 | Bore | Build | Begin

The biggest milestone on the Sturry Link Road Project so far has arrived. In Episode 19, piling officially begins at the South Abutment, marking the start of the permanent foundations for the new bridge. Watch the full CFA piling process, from the initial drilling operation through to concrete placement and the installation of the reinforcement cage. Elsewhere across the site, Platform D continues to expand with between 1,500 and 2,000 tonnes of stone delivered every day, while the new northern haul road reaches the future North Abutment. Drainage works continue to progress, utility trial holes are excavated ahead of the future UK Power Networks cable diversion, and the foundations for the temporary pedestrian footbridges move towards their concrete pours.
