D.A. Knowlton interrogates the 32 year-old-spinster of the great Andrew J. Borden of Fall River revealing a sophisticated and clever liar. All pleasantries have subsided as Lizzie uses her own brand of bullshit and bitchcraft to confuse her nemesis and throw him off track. Knowlton fires back with one direct question after another. One of the most exciting courtroom dramas I have ever known intensifies until the end. *There is one more Inquest episode to go! Are you one of the people that think Lizzie may have used a heavy flat iron instead of a hatchet? I have given this theory much thought as Lizzie mentions "ironing her handkerchiefs" a few times in her inquest. When looking at the back of Abby Borden's shaved mutilated head it is difficult to ascertain if a claw hammer hatchet was used or a heavy flat iron but there are many sharp edges as well. Andrew Borden's eyeball and nose were so cleanly sliced off or cleaved in two that only a very sharp instrument could have been used. But after recording the autopsy reports of the doctors who assisted on the case for Season 2 there was no doubt in my mind that a 3.5-inch hatchet was used, new and with gold gilt ornamented upon it could be seen by the naked eye behind the left ear of Abby Borden. Lastly, the hatchet found on the roof of Crowe's barn, a neighbor whose backyard property triangulated with Lizzie's was also analyzed and found to contain traces of the gold gilt underneath the rust as having sat there for 10 months.
